The Source Of The Teachings

The source of all my meditation talks and lessons can be found in the Buddha's teachings. I never wish to claim it as my own, or 'improve' upon it. I am not that wise. The only thing I've done is try to make it a little more understandable for the westerner mind, as it can be quite profound.

Some of the teachings date back 5,000 years ago to the Vedic traditions, and are as effective and relevant today as they were back then. Sometimes, when reading the Buddha's teachings, I wonder if He was addressing an audience in ancient India, or the masses of 21st century New York. The mind, and all that troubles it, has remained unchanged by time. Hence, the relevance of the teachings today, as in India 2,600 years ago.

Because the teachings are so inclusive, and address every aspect of our lives, it would be foolish of me to try to improve upon them. The meditation teachings are part of a greater system, well-thought-out on how to train and develop the mind, and improve every aspect of one's life, both mentally and physically.

Come, learn the teachings as they were taught in ancient India... See how effective and relevant they still are today...
